Winner of Motorcycling Queenland’s 2024 “Event of the Year“ was awarded to the Sunshine Coast’s very own Ballards Offroad Conondale Classic Weekend, presented by Rat Racing and hosted by community organisation, the Sunshine Coast Motorcycle Club.

Best news is that it’s back and happening on 6-8 June at the legendary Green Park Conondale.

Classic Weekend is a 3-day vintage dirt bike festival features a paddock full of pre-95 dirt bikes, 5+ tracks to ride at your leisure, camping, Show and Shine on Saturday at 12, a huge raffle featuring sponsor products and a mint 1987 Yamaha TT250 that will be drawn for one lucky winner on Saturday evening.

New elements for this year if the Dirt Action Built To Ride Bike Competition, where riders are invited to bring their bikes to the Village Friday evening from 4pm to be show off their pride and joy, riders can get a portrait with the bike and be judged and win a range of prizes including a Ballards Tool Kit, Rat Racing jersey and pant kit and Motul Oils voucher. Winners will be featured in the following DIrt Action Magazine released after Classic Weekend.

One of the features each year is the Swap Meet around the grounds featuring vintage motocross fashion, boots, helmets, vintage bikes, plus rare parts, magazines and memorabilia to get motivated fanatics excited to find a bargain on Friday or Saturday.

“The tracks are the best in the country“ says Classic Weekend regular DT Dan “We have a huge community of DT175 riders who love the old 2-stroke bikes and we all have a ball riding with the rest of the crew here all weekend, it’s the highlight of our riding calendar.“

All funds raised goes toward the upkeep and maintenance of the Green Park venue for community events hosted by the volunteer run Sunshine Coast Motorcycle Club.

Spectator fees payable at the Gate:

$50 – Spectator camping (per vehicle)

$20 – Spectator entry – kids under 16 free
