NEED A WINGMAN?

Local introduction agent F2F is bringing back good old fashioned, tried and tested face to face dating.

F2F founder Hollie Harris is a big romantic; always keeping her finger on the pulse of what makes people tick and being genuinely involved and interested in her clients means she has a wealth of knowledge to share.”There are hundreds of single man and even more single women in our area alone. F2F are focusing on the Noosa region from Cooran down to Coolum region for now, with events further afield next year. This area is saturated with singles who are not crossing paths. Singles here are so busy and juggling career and shared children. The chances of meeting in the real world are slim,” says Hollie.

“I get asked all sorts of questions by my clients. They need texting advice, conversation starters, dressing for a date and I really want to share what I know. What if we know people in the room is a common one. We have over 50,000 residents here in Noosa Shire alone and there are literally hundreds of online daters as well as the large portion of singles who won’t use those sites. The odds are very slim, but I think a familiar face is a great ice-breaker,” she says.

Dating sites claim they can help you find your “perfect match.” You fill out a profile, answer some questions and get matched with other compatible singles — all from the comfort of your own living room. While they can certainly help some people find loving, happy relationships, there are disadvantages and pitfalls of online dating to consider as well.

Online dating can be so time-consuming and life is fast. People spend weeks messaging and building a connection online to meet for a drink or a coffee and know within minutes it’s not going to work. It’s back to the drawing board again.

First dates, especially blind dates are incredibly nerve-wracking for most people. The events F2F put together are designed to rip off the band-aid, so to speak, and are a fantastic way to sharpen up those communication skills that are so important when attracting a mate.

Many singles go out for the night and look around the room for someone who might catch their eye. In Noosa, there’s just not the pool of singles out and about like there is in the cities, but Hollie says they are definitely out there.

“Guys tend to be more nervous than the girls. I remind them that each time they challenge those nerves and come along, they will relax more and more each time. Most guys have knocked the nerves off within the first 10 minutes, and really enjoyed the fun of meeting a great selection of available ladies in one place.”

The events are classy get-togethers held in some of the regions best venues with an even mix of around 30 singles

The next one is on Saturday, 15 September for ages 37-47. There are limited tickets available so jump online at www.f2fintroductions.com and grab one now and enjoy a great night out, get some practice, tame those nerves and meet some lovely singles.

Other age groups are invited to join (it’s free to join) so the coming events can be created to suit their needs. More events are in the pipeline for a younger and older crowd very soon.

“Life is short. Get off your phone, get in front of people again and I promise i’ll be there as your Wingman,” says Hollie.
