A teenage boy was lucky to be rescued after being caught in a rip in waters off Alexandra Parade at Alexandra Headlands on Saturday 5 February.
Paramedics, including critical care transported the boy to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition following the near-drowning at 5.56pm.
