Tigers thrash Mayne

The Rococo’s Bar and Bistro Noosa Tigers have belted Mayne in Brisbane last Saturday to the tune of 119 points and sit unbeaten on top of the Hart Sports QFA Division 1 ladder.

Right from the opening minutes it was evident that the Sunshine Coast powerhouse was simply harder, fitter and stronger around the contest as well as being much more skilful in transition. The Rococo Bar & Bistro Noosa Tigers senior coach Adam Bovalino was really pleased with the effort saying it was just a really top effort ‘right across the board. The boy’s stuck to their structures and didn’t lairise and the score looked after itself. I’m really happy with our start to the year and with the Reserves also playing good footy, competition for spots is where you want it. I thought the back six were terrific today setting up so many attacking plays. Just a top all round effort”.

Noosa had winners all over the ground with Tyler Stack and Mitch Woods racking up tons of possessions from start to finish. Stack finished with a game high 38 touches in the midfield whilst footy manager Woods completely dominated his wing with 33 possessions. Jayden Holt continued his fantastic early season form with 30 touches whilst the ‘rolls- royce’ Jai Fitzpatrick wowed the crowd with sublime skill and flair. Young Mac Johnston again impressed in the ruck as he threw himself into contest after contest; whilst the back half were led superbly by skipper Aaron Laskey and the super elusive and dangerous Riley Buntain.

Up forward Connor McDonald was again a standout with his forward presence extremely noticeable through the entire afternoon with the impressive teenager Will O’Dwyer and Nick Sutton both bagging five goals for the afternoon. A massive win by the Rococo Bar & Bistro Tigers as they now look forward to a home game against University of Queensland this Saturday from 2pm.

The seconds came home with a flash booting six last quarter goals to earn a fantastic win on what was a very entertaining game. Names like Trompf, Wallace, Isles and Winter right in amongst it with new recruit Snowy a standout also.

Plenty happening at the Tigers with great $10 meals each Thursday night and don’t forget to book your seat to this week’s President’s Luncheon with Geelong champion and football educator Michael Turner our special guest. Well worth listening too! See you at the footy!

Go tigers!

Cheers, Pittsy
