Business and tourism operators are invited to a panel discussion aimed at shaping the Sunshine Coast as a more accessible and inclusive destination.

The Access Ignites Panel Event will be held at Altitude Nine in the Maroochydore City Centre on Friday 31 May from 4pm.

The panel discussion, proudly supported by Sunshine Coast Council, will talk about how we can be better hosts for all our visitors and also discuss employment for people with disabilities.

Attendees will hear from four guest speakers: Brendan Somerville from Spinal Life, Stephanie Whelan from Equity Works, Payge Hollis from Here, Now, Next and Verena Olesch from the Maleny Botanic Garden and Bird World.

Sunshine Coast Councillor David Law encouraged members in the tourism sector to make sure they put this in their calendars.

“The night will also include a presentation from Dane Cross from Spinal Life, a presentation from Chris Kerrisk from Cerge as well as a presentation about the Access Accelerator Program,” Cr Law said.

“Get your tickets today. Tickets are $29.90 and can be purchase on Council’s website.”
