Lessons in reality

George Sinapius

Noosa District State High School Year 11 Social and Community Studies students have made contact with The Beauty and The Geek’s George Sinapius to learn more about reality television and his palaeontology work at the Age of Dinosaurs Museum in Winton.

The Year 11 students are investigating a variety of career pathways as part of their social and community studies program this term, and with many fans of the reality television series, Beauty and the Geek, the students are enjoying discovering the ’real’ reality of reality television first-hand through Mr Sinapius’s experience.

Many students were surprised to hear that the ’relationships’ on the show did not continue after the cameras stopped rolling, however, Mr Sinapius assured the students that most of the beauties and geeks remain good friends.

The students are interested to learn more about dinosaurs and the qualifications to be a palaeontologist and being on reality television. They eagerly await a response from Mr Sinapius.
