An RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew flew a school-aged boy to hospital, after he was injured in a motocross incident in the South Burnett region on Saturday.
It’s believed the boy was riding a motorcycle at a recreation park when he came off the bike and landed on his head.
The Sunshine Coast-based rescue chopper was called in just before 10am.
The pilot landed at the scene and the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) Flight Paramedic assisted local paramedics in treating the boy.
He suffered a suspected fractured clavicle and spinal injuries.
The crew then flew the boy to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
