Gardens delight at wedding

Han and Bi, a couple from Taiwan, celebrated their engagement in November 2024 and soon began planning their dream wedding for May 2025.

With loved ones spread across the USA, UK, Singapore, and Taiwan, they sought a breathtaking destination where they could create lasting memories.

Noosa, Australia, had always intrigued them, and after hearing glowing reviews from friends who had wed there three years earlier, they knew it was the perfect choice.

Their wedding organisers suggested a serene and picturesque alternative: the Noosa Botanic Gardens at Lake Macdonald, near Cooroy.

Offering tranquility and stunning photo opportunities, it provided the ideal setting for their intimate celebration.

As fate would have it, their chosen wedding date – Sunday, 25 May – fell within Australia and New Zealand Botanic Gardens Week, allowing their guests to enjoy a private tour of the enchanting shade garden while Han and Bi strolled through the lush surroundings with their photographer.

The sun-drenched 25-degree day proved so enjoyable that guests found themselves lingering, needing to call ahead to their reception in Hastings Street to say they’d be arriving a little late.

The Noosa Botanic Gardens, is nestled beside Lake Macdonald near Cooroy, and is an often-overlooked gem of the Noosa Shire, now forever woven into the love story of Han and Bi.
