Menopause and midlife

Sunshine Coast women are invited to Shifting Tides, a half-day event designed to support health and well-being during menopause and midlife.

Hosted by midlife mentor and podcaster Jo Clark, alongside specialist GP in women’s health and menopause, Dr Sian Hebron, this event will be held on Friday 18 July at Noosa Springs Golf and Spa Resort.

The event will provide practical, real-life strategies for managing menopause and navigating midlife’s many changes – from shifting family roles and career changes to evolving relationships and the common feeling of losing your sense of self.

Dr Hebron will share important, up-to-date information that’s often missing from typical GP visits. She’ll explain what’s happening in women’s bodies during menopause, offer guidance on nutrition and weight gain, and shine a light on the often-overlooked genitourinary symptoms that can affect intimacy and comfort. With so much misinformation about perimenopause and menopause, this is a rare chance to hear the latest research from a doctor with expertise in the field who truly understands what women are going through.

“In my clinical experience, I see how the symptoms of menopause can affect women’s lives in unexpected ways,” says Dr Hebron. “Having up-to-date knowledge and practical advice makes such a difference to how women can handle this stage of life.”

Jo Clark will lead two supportive workshop sessions: one focused on guiding women to create a personalised and practical wellness plan that suits their health needs and lifestyle, and another on how to navigate the many transitions of midlife with greater clarity and confidence.

“Midlife can feel overwhelming, with so many changes happening all at once,” Jo said. “This event is about breaking the silence, offering down-to-earth tools, and creating a space where women can feel supported and ready to take back control of their health and happiness.”

With so many local women aged 40 and over, this event couldn’t be more timely. It offers a chance to come together, learn from experts, and walk away with a clearer understanding of menopause and midlife, plus practical steps to start feeling better right away.

Morning tea and lunch are included with the ticket, and there will be plenty of time for questions and sharing experiences during the Q&A at the end.

Tickets are available now via Eventbrite. Women are encouraged to bring a friend, make it a day of connection, and leave with fresh inspiration for their health and life.
