Award-winning Noosa salon celebrates 3 huge years

Self belief, sheer determination and an intrinsic knowledge of what local women want from their health and beauty routines, led Noosa local, Sam Pittendrigh, founder and artistic director of Si.Organics, to forge ahead with ambitious plans for expansion of her organic hair salon based on Gympie Terrace, along the Noosa River foreshore.

Last week, the salon celebrated three years in the new location following it’s biggest and most successful year to date.

Despite going through a turbulent few years during the pandemic, Sam knew that the desire and need for premium, organic and high performing haircare that was both on trend and good for the planet, was rapidly growing within the community.

This lead to Si Organics being awarded Best Trade and Service at the Sunshine Coast Business Awards in 2022.

Since opening in 2020, the Si.Organics team now features an additional three senior stylists, a junior stylist and an apprentice, all of whom combine their extensive local and international experience with a passion for premium haircare to bring to life an industry leading experience, in the heart of Noosa.

“We are one of the few organic hair salons on the Sunshine Coast and were the first to offer colour and styling services using the organic, biodynamic and a naturally derived Oway product range,“ Sam said.

“Since expanding, we now also offer Original Mineral and Davines colour, styling and treatments, all market leaders when it comes to sustainability and an eco friendly alternative.

“We know our clients care not only about a beautiful result for their hair, but they care about the environment, so investing in those brands that offer the best result for them is the most important thing and those decisions as business have been pivotal in our growth overt the past three years.”

Sam employed other local small businesses – Laneway, The Icing on the Cupcake and musician Santiago Ivan Bruno – to mark the occasion and treat Si Organics clients during the week-long celebration.

“Supporting other small businesses is so important to us and it’s exciting to collaborate with such talented product suppliers across all touchpoints of Si.Organics – they help us bring our vision to life daily.”

A resilient attitude and so much hard work behind the scenes means Si. Organics can now provide services for even more locals and visitors to the Noosa region.

“All the hard work and risks we took to get here, have been worth it. It’s been an incredible three years and we are so excited to see what the future holds for us and the positive impact we can have on the organic hair and beauty industry within our community.”
