Miniature train lovers will have the chance to climb aboard once again when the popular ride days return to Mini Rail Park later this month.
The miniature railway will be running on Sunday 22 March, offering what organisers describe as one of the best-value family days out on the Sunshine Coast.
From 10am to 2.30pm, visitors can ride behind a range of miniature locomotives – including steam, battery and petrol-powered engines – as they haul trains around about one kilometre of track.
Passengers can choose to ride a single train or try several different locomotives during the day.
Tickets are priced at $3 for a single ride, $15 for six rides or $50 for 20 rides, with EFTPOS available. Children aged four and under can ride for free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult.
Organisers say enclosed shoes must be worn to ride the trains, meaning thongs or open footwear are not permitted.
Parking is available about 100 metres away at the nearby Nambour railway station car park, while visitors can also enjoy a sausage sizzle and cold drinks during the event.
The attraction is also small dog friendly.
As the trains are miniature, organisers remind visitors that the locomotives have weight limits for the loads they can haul.
