Noosa’s tech-loving youngsters have been heading to the Peregian Beach Digital Hub these holidays for an action-packed program of creating, inventing and having fun with the latest technology.

The Hub’s holiday program which continues until 22 January has a wide variety of courses for girls and boys aimed at various ages and taught by some of the region’s most talented teenage technologists who through the Hub’s cadetship and mentoring programs earn holiday money by sharing their technological know-how with other kids.

On Tuesday hub cadets and 3D design enthusiasts Zac and Finn taught a group of Year 9s how to bring their imagination to life and open up new pathways into CAD design and 3D printing.

After learning the basics of Fusion 360, the software used widely in manufacturing and design, kids created rubber-band powered cars and a few of their own designed objects.

A variety of workshops are on offer at the Hub from robotics to digital design to learning how to program.
