Police are appealing for vision after a ‘hit and run’ left a young woman with serious leg injuries in Maroochydore on 5 May.
Around 5.45pm, a blue BYD Atto 3 was parked outside a residence on Vaughan Avenue, facing toward School Road.
Initial investigations indicate a second vehicle, possibly a dark coloured Hyundai sedan, was driving in the opposite direction toward Millwell Road, when it struck the BYD and continued driving.
A 24-year-old female passenger, who was attempting to exit the BYD at the time of the crash, sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The driver of the BYD, a 43-year-old man, was physically uninjured.
Police are appealing to witnesses, particularly nearby residents with CCTV or anyone with relevant dashcam vision, to come forward.
Investigations are continuing.
