The Kombi is back: Noosa local launches a zero-emissions tour vehicle

After a lengthy wait whilst they rolled out in Europe and the USA, the much-anticipated VW ID Buzz has finally arrived in Australia and, to be more precise, here in Noosa.

It’s a cool, spacious, full-electric, seven-seater; not just another generic people-carrier, but the ‘spiritual successor’ to the iconic and beloved VW Kombi, and is certainly a head-turner.

Based in Tewantin, Sun Buzz launched on 1 July offering private tours on the Sunshine Coast in an ID Buzz. It’s also available for wedding hire and has already taken bookings for school formals and MCY airport transfers.

Owner Ian Mulville said, “Noosa Council, Tourism Noosa and many of the leading resorts and businesses in Noosa are fully committed to sustainable tourism and more discerning clients are actively seeking out zero-emission options for their travel than ever before.”

“With a range that will comfortably cover the whole of the Sunshine Coast (in fact, down to Brisbane and back), Sun Buzz will allow clients to travel in air-conditioned comfort and arrive in style, whatever the occasion. Because tourism doesn’t have to cost the Earth.”

Ian is actively seeking partnerships, co-promotion opportunities and expressions of interest from local businesses who may want to collaborate with Sun Buzz.

“I am in advanced talks with some premium service providers in Noosa, as Sun Buzz is a premium product,” he said.

“The demand is definitely there; we can bring clients directly to your business with zero emissions, which is a win for the business, for the client, for the environment and for Sun Buzz.”

Any local business, including Hinterland businesses, who may be interested in this concept can contact Ian on 0428 645 645 or visit www.sunbuzz.com.au
