Motorcycle rider in serious condition after Coolum crash

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating a crash between a car and a motorcycle at Coolum Beach on Sunday 11 September.

The motorcycle and car were travelling in opposite direction before they collided at the intersection of Central Avenue and Yandina Coolum Road at about 7.30pm, leaving the motorcycle rider in a serious condition.

He was transported to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with head injuries and suspected fractures.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 17-year-old Yaroomba girl, was not physically injured.

The investigation is continuing.
