The award was presented at a gala dinner at the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre on Saturday 9 November, celebrating excellence and achievement across the region’s diverse business landscape.
As the sole person behind En Mina Leather, Isabel Atienza expressed profound gratitude for the honour.
“I started En Mina Leather out of a deep love for craftsmanship, a desire to honour lost trades, and the joy of creating high-quality leather goods right here on the Sunshine Coast,” she said.
“I am so proud to have the ‘Handcrafted in the Sunshine Coast’ label on all my products, using only Australian-sourced materials, so each piece truly reflects the quality and values I hold dear.”
Founded as a small, independent business in 2022, En Mina Leather has gained a loyal following among makers, artisans, and woodworking enthusiasts for its commitment to quality, authenticity, and sustainability.
Each item is carefully crafted by Isabel herself, using locally sourced leather and materials to support the Australian supply chain.
“This recognition is incredibly meaningful to me as a sole trader. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but the support of my amazing customers, our local maker community, and my family has kept me inspired and dedicated,” Isabel added.
