The last original Mooloolaba beach shack is up for grabs for the first time in 60 years.
The property on 35 Smith Street, Mooloolaba has been in the Webb family for more than 60 years.
Ray White Mooloolaba principal Brent Higgins is marketing this mullti-generational property, which has zoning for a high rise.
“It’s a very special site, being offered for sale for the first time and we’ll take it to auction on December 7,” he said.
“Smith Street is regarded as Mooloolaba’s most progressive address for future high rise development and I am expecting a lot of interest.”
Seller Jon Webb of Shelly Beach said his grandmother originally owned the site 60 years ago and raised her six kids there.
Jon’s dad Trevor Webb was a life member of his beloved Mooloolaba SLSC and when he passed away five years ago the club approached him to rent the house.
The Webb family also has a long relationship with the Mooloolaba SLSC who lease it for staff accommodation and storage of surf boats and skis.
“Dad loved the club, so he would be happy they have had good use out the house, I reckon. He was a larrikin, he just loved the beach and having a punt!” he said.

This old fibro shack currently has an annual income of $22,872 in the interim while development applications and plans are worked through.
