Overnight deluge biggest of the season

 Massive totals have been seen across parts of Noosa and the Sunshine Coast overnight as a deluge of rain hit the South East.

Tewantin saw 151.4mm while the Sunshine Coast Airport reached a massive total of 231.8mm, Coolum accumulated 217mm, causing major flooding in some parts.

Water was across the road in locations such as Six Mile Creek, Louis Bazzo Drive and Eumundi Noosa Rd at the Beddington Road intersection early this morning according to the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said that there were 19 swift water rescues made across the state, a majority of those rescues were conducted on the Sunshine Coast.
