Noosa SES flushed with their new Portaloo donation

The Noosa SES Unit were flushed with their new Portaloo donation from local Rotarians on Wednesday 10 July.

Noosa Rotary president Glenn Brown and Tess Alexandroff visited the depot to present a Portaloo and ensuite to local SES controller Warren Kuskopf.

Warren said the equipment donated by Rotary will be of valuable service to the Noosa SES Unit.

“One of the major functions of the SES is assisting Queensland Police Service with land search for missing person and forensics,” he said.

“As the only emergency service trained in land search, this is an extremely important service to the community.

“Many of the searches are in areas with inhospitable terrain and conditions, and many are some distance from any amenities.

“For this reason, it is easily understood why a donation such as this is extremely worthwhile and very much appreciated, particularly by our female members!”

Warren said the Noosa SES Unit consists of some of the best and most competent and capable people in the area.

“Rotary’s constant and ongoing support for the Noosa SES motivates and strengthens our membership base and our ability and capability to respond and assist the community we live in,” he said.
