Australian Idol 2025 winner draws crowd for Noosa pop up show

A crowd of fans spilled out onto Hastings Street to catch a glimpse of Australian Idol 2025 winner Marshall Hamburger’s live pop up performance on Monday 14 April.

Marshall was welcomed home to Noosa with a red carpet entrance by 91.1 Hot FM’s Sam and Ash at Miss Money Penny’s Restaurant & Bar.

“These people are the ones who have been supporting his journey of Australian Idol, so it’s really nice to see everyone out in force today,” Ash said.

Sam agreed as he said, “Noosa is such a cool community, like it’s so tight, it’s so loving, it’s so generous with its support.”

“This is an example, here’s a young man from here with an amazing talent that the town has really just gotten behind and said, you know what, you’re our man, we’re behind you, let’s go. And he’s won and now this is him giving back. He wanted to come here today and sing for the people who voted for him to say thank you, so that was nice.”

Sam said he’s known the Hamburger family for quite some time.

“I think there’s a real humble quality of Marshall that is really beautiful about him,” he said.

“Yes, he’s got a great voice, but his family, his nature, and just his way, is a really inspiring thing. I think that’s going to be great for a lot of kids too. As a role model, he’s a beautiful man.”

Ash wrapped it up perfectly as she said, “He’s very gentle for a rock star and I love that.”
