For one more week, share the Christmas cheer with less fortunate families affected by domestic and family violence by contributing to the WomenKind Christmas Gifting Ttree, located at StayNoosa, 1/195 Weyba Rd, Noosaville.
“Our wonderful Christmas Gifting Tree is filling up with gifts for vulnerable children spending Christmas in DVSafe homes. If you have a little extra please drop it into StayNoosa wrapped in a pillowcase, with the age and sex of gift recipient plus a note of hope for the mums,” WomenKind chair Josanne Falla said.
“Other options are to contribute fuel or food vouchers or perhaps a dignity bag containing essentials such as toiletries, toys and basic clothing items for the families, who often have to leave their homes at short notice.
“After several weeks of collecting, we are most in need of gifts for the 13-15 year age group. One very appreciated gift for this age group is phone credits. From the research we have done, it looks like Aldi has the longest time frame for use and there is one very close on Weyba Rd.
“Thank you so much to StayNoosa, Ruby and Michelle for their help to make the Gifting Tree a reality.”
StayNoosa owner Liam said they were proud be to supporting WomenKind Australia Inc. this Christmas.
“We recently learnt more about this fantastic organisation that empowers women and helps make Christmas special for those in safe houses. We were very happy to provide the collection point for gifts to be donated this year, so be sure to pop down before 20 December with your new presents donated in a pillow case,” he said.
