Man dies in tragic accident

A 59-year-old man has died following a crash at Tanawha on 14 May.

Initial investigations suggest the man was changing a tyre on the side of the Sunshine Motorway, underneath the Bruce Highway, when he was struck by a car just after 4.30pm.

The East Brisbane man was transported to hospital in a critical condition where he later died.

An 18-year-old woman driving the car was not physically injured.

Crash investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed, or has footage of the incident, or of a red utility parked on the side of the Sunshine Motorway, to come forward.
