A 21-year-old Nepalese man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Maroochydore on Thursday night, 16 October.
Police say the incident occurred around 10.50pm, when a grey Volkswagen sedan left the road and struck a tree on Maroochydore Road, approximately 200 metres west of the Broadmeadows intersection.
Emergency services attended the scene, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and is appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage from the area at the time is urged to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
