Lorraine Foley and her partner, Leigh, who is a local Noosa Firefighter planned to take part in the RACQ Breast Cancer Walk in Brisbane but when it was cancelled last Sunday because of the floods, they took a virtual walk last weekend instead.
“We walked through Hastings Street, Main Beach the Boardwalk and back again,“ Lorraine said.
“We would like to thank all those people who gave us a round of applause on Main Beach and all the words of support from everyone we passed along the way. It struck up a conversation with a lovely surfer guy who told us about his mother passing from breast cancer.
“Leigh’s tutu was a great success as children and adults had the best laugh when they saw him.“
