Two powerhouse Noosa women join forces

Two powerhouse Noosa women have joined forces to be able to support the community to live as long as they can in their homes.

Aged care expert Megan D’Elton and Laguna Estate manager Renee Blake jumped at the opportunity to work together towards Renee’s vision for Infinity Homecare.

“I have admired Megan for all the years that I’ve been up here. When I heard that she might be available, I didn’t want anyone else to have her,” Renee said.

“I was just absolutely gobsmacked when Megan did a discussion on disaster management about what she had to put into place when NoosaCare’s Carramar was evacuated because of the bushfires. I knew it would’ve been a big job, but I had no idea the enormity of it.

“I know Megan had a lot of pressure with where she was working previously because it was such an enormous role, and I know that she’s feeling a lot less stressed.

“We both have the same vision of keeping people in their homes. It’s just phenomenal that she’s joined us.”

The former chief executive officer at NoosaCare has been brought onboard to work on their consumer directed everyday living and home care requirements under the Infinity Homecare arm at Laguna Estate.

Megan and Renee’s combined knowledge is well over 30 years, so the two of them together is a knock your socks off combination.

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to be able to give people more information about homecare, not just within the village but externally and really reaching out to the community. We aim to cover a lot of services,” Megan said.

Infinity Homecare is a small, privately owned provider of Home Care Packages located within Laguna Estate Retirement Village in Noosaville.

They support clients living both within Laguna Estate and elsewhere in the local Noosa area.

In 2024 the government will launch new homecare programs. Infinity intends to educate clients on these offerings so they maximise the benefits of the consumer directed programs.
