Five Sunshine Coast students selected for World Triathlon Championships

Five student-athletes from Sunshine Coast Grammar have been selected to represent Australia at the 2025 World Triathlon Championships in Wollongong this October.

This prestigious event marks the first time the Championships have returned to Australia since 2018 and will feature some of the world’s top triathletes.

Representing Sunshine Coast Grammar are Grace Brimelow (Year 12), Jude Brimelow (Year 10), Addison Houslip (Year 10), Will Kisby (Year 10) and Hannah Pollock (Year 12).

Grace is a decorated para-triathlete who made her international debut in 2022 and has since competed at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games and claimed five international titles, including Gold at the World Triathlon Para Cup in Spain, Oceania Triathlon Para Championships in Stockton, and the World Triathlon Para Championships in Devonport.

Jude has continued to build his triathlon momentum, earning Queensland selection after standout performances at the State Championships and will be representing Australia in the Age Group Sprint Distance Team.

At just 16, Addison is one of the youngest athletes on the start list and will be representing the Australian Junior Team. Addison has already claimed three consecutive national titles as well as second place at the European Triathlon Junior Cup in Holten and fifth in the U23 Oceania Sprint Championships.

Will has earned his spot on the Age Group Sprint Distance Team alongside Jude and has secured impressive results, including second place at the 2024 Queensland All Schools’ Triathlon.

Hannah is an inspiring athlete and was named as a Reserve in the Australian Junior Team. Hannah represented Australia at the 2023 Youth Commonwealth Games and recently placed second in the Junior Women’s event at the Australian Junior and Youth Super Sprint Championships and second in the School Sport Australia National Triathlon and Aquathlon Championships.

The selection of these five students is a testament to their years of dedication and commitment to their training and we are proud to support their sporting aspirations.
