The northbound lanes of the Bruce Highway through Cooroy (near Exit 230) are closed to traffic following a two-vehicle traffic crash about 7.30am on Tuesday morning.
Southbound lanes of the highway were also closed for about 20 minutes to enable LifeFlight paramedics to attend but have reopened.
Police are urging motorists to avoid the area.
