Police seek urgent public assistance to help find missing girl

The Queensland Police Service is seeking urgent public assistance to help locate an eight-year-old girl who was taken from a facility on Beach Road, Maroochydore around 10.45am on Thursday 19 December, who may be at significant risk.

A man, known to the child, was seen taking the girl and putting her into a car and driving away.

The girl is described as having sandy blonde hair and wearing black and white checkered shorts, a navy blue shirt and white sandals.

The man, in his 40s, is described as being caucasian, shaved head, slim build, and wearing a dark shirt, black slides and boardshorts.

The vehicle is described as being a dark blue Toyota Hilux with a silver tray with the Queensland registration 156VBO. They are believed to be in the Sunshine Coast area, including Noosa.
