Traffic changes in Hastings Street

Temporary traffic measures in and around Hastings Street will take effect from tomorrow – Saturday 20 December to 4 January 2026 – to ease congestion and improve pedestrian safety during the busy Christmas and New Year period.

Key changes include:

Surf Club carpark used as a passenger drop-off zone, with marshalls assisting traffic flow.

Shaded waiting areas, extra female toilets, filtered water station, and more bike/scooter parking.

Disability permit spaces and emergency vehicle access maintained.

Council staff on site to guide pedestrians and provide travel advice.

Visitors are encouraged to park at Noosa Heads Lions Park, Noosa Junction bus station, The J, and Noosa Marina, and use the free Go Noosa Loop Bus (065) or low-cost Translink services. The Loop Bus runs 13 December – 26 January including public holidays.

Council reminds residents and visitors to plan ahead, consider alternative transport, and enjoy a safe and relaxed summer in Noosa.

For full details on Council’s summer holiday transport and parking options, visit Noosa Council website.
