Heads of Noosa to host Gourmet Backyard BBQ

Heads of Noosa and Butchers of Noosa have partnered up to host a Gourmet Backyard BBQ as part of the Noosa Eat & Drink Festival on Thursday 29 May.

The event is designed to satisfy even the fussiest meat connoisseur, featuring perfectly smoked, grilled, and charred meats, paired with the brewery’s exceptional lineup of lagers.

This comes as Heads of Noosa announced the return of everyone’s favourite dark lager, their annual Seasonal Reserve Baltic Porter, first launched in 2022.

Heads of Noosa head brewer Lance Masterton said, “This year we’ve taken things a step further with a small batch of the Baltic Porter aged in oak barrels which will be exclusively available in our Taproom at our Noosa Eat Drink event.“

“Once it’s gone, it’s gone, so if you’re keen to try it, grab tickets before they sell out.”

The Baltic Porter is crafted using a sub-zero lagering method, a unique process that involves maturing the beer at sub-zero temperatures to enhance its smoothness and deliver a remarkably clean, crisp finish. The result is a rich, full-bodied brew with notes of chocolate and caramel.

The original Baltic Porter, along with its oak-aged barrel variant, will be available at the Taproom from 30 May.

If you’re hoping to taste some of the oak-aged version, you might still be in luck. The original Baltic Porter Seasonal Reserve will also be pouring, so it’s a great chance to try both side by side.
