Clutching their passports and draped in pink about 200 residents and friends trekked a 2km path around Cooroy on Saturday to record pink items and one blue one stacked in store windows along the way as they took part in the annual Pink Precinct Fun Trail.

The fun event and fundraiser for the National Breast Cancer Foundation was begun in 2010 by the Cooroy Library at the request of one woman who had breast cancer.

Cooroy Chamber of Commerce member Carol Christensen has now taken charge and it continues to grow, this year attracting even more participants with a move from Thursday to Saturday.

Carol said Cooroy was such a generous town individuals and businesses were only too willing to donate and join in.
