A 17-year-old boy has been charged with murder following an altercation with another boy in Buddina last night, 20 January.
At 11.20pm, emergency services were called to an area outside a Buddina home, in response to an altercation which allegedly resulted in a 16-year-old boy suffering a life-threatening wound.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, the boy died at the scene.
A boy was immediately taken into custody and assisted police with the circumstances surrounding the 16-year-old boy’s death.
The 17-year-old boy was charged this morning (Friday 21 January) and will appear in Maroochydore Childrens Court.
