Sunshine Coast man arrested in bushland charged with drug offenses

A 36-year-old man has been charged with drug offenses on the Sunshine Coast.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with drug offenses after Sunshine Coast police intercepted a car in Yandina on 15 February.

Police were called at about 10.30am, after reports of a car allegedly driving dangerously on the Bruce Highway, near Ninderry Road, Yandina.

Police intercepted the car, however, the man fled on foot.

After conducting searches of the Yandina area, one man was arrested in bushland after 1.40pm.

He has since been charged with numerous offenses, including possessing dangerous drugs.

The man is due to appear in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on 7 March .

Anyone with information that may assist in ongoing investigations, including dashcam footage, is urged to contact police.
