Noosa Chamber of Commerce celebrates Bastille Day in style at La Vie en Rose

The Noosa Chamber of Commerce, members and guests shared an unforgettable evening in honour of Bastille Day, bringing together members and guests for an elegant celebration of French culture and community spirit.

Hosted by La Vie en Rose restaurant on Gympie Terrace, the event showcased the vibrant essence of Noosa’s local business network against the picturesque backdrop of a sunset on the river.

Guests were welcomed with a champagne cocktails and canapés before enjoying a three-course dinner curated exclusively for the occasion by Annabel, of La Vie en Rose.

Live French jazz, performed by local artist Lily, added to uplifting the spirits of all attendees, who were seated to not only enjoy the French cuisine but also to enable new relationships.

Chamber president Ralph Rogers addressed attendees with updates on the Chamber’s ongoing initiatives and upcoming events.

He reiterated the organisation’s commitment to being a strong voice for Noosa’s business and broader community—working in collaboration with local council and state government to support economic growth, reduce regulatory barriers, and enhance opportunities true to the UNESCO BIOSPHERE intent.

He also mentioned the Chamber’s independent assessment of the Shire’s socio-economic performance compared to previous years and other similar local council areas.

“The evidence is clear,” Ralph Rogers said, “the lack of appropriate housing for Noosa’s workforce is causing an imbalance in our population with residents over 60 years of age now 36 per cent of the population projected to be over 45 per cent in 15 years unless something is done.”

“Noosa’s 25-34 age group – workforce age – are just seven per cent of the population compared to Qld average of 13 per cent.”

The evening marked another milestone in the Chamber’s efforts to foster meaningful connections and celebrate the diverse contributions of its members and sponsors.
