Boy treated for head and neck injuries after toboggan accident

A boy was airlifted to hospital with head and neck injuries after a toboggan accident on Moreton Island on Monday 21 April.

The Brisbane-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew was tasked at 12.16pm and landed on a helipad near the incident.

The boy was treated by local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics who drove him from the scene to an awaiting LifeFlight helicopter.

He was further treated by the LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic while being flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
