Councillor appointments set

At the new council’s first Ordinary Meeting last week councillors were appointed to the following committees, boards and working groups.

Mayor Frank Wilkie was appointed the Case Management Working Group, Capital Works Executive, CEO Performance Review Committee (chair), Teewah Cooloola Working Group, Business Round Table (chair), Climate Change Response Plan Steering Group (chair), Housing Stakeholder Reference Group, Destination Management Project Control Group (chair), Regional Resource Recovery Steering Group, council representative of the Council of Mayors (SEQ), and to the Council of Mayors (SEQ) SEQ 2032 Legacy Working Group.

Deputy Mayor Brian Stockwell was appointed to the CEO Performance Review Committee, Noosa Biosphere Trails Reference Group (chair), Noosa Drive Pathway Project Reference Group, Destination Management Project Control Group, Council’s o bserver on the Tourism Noosa Board, Climate Emergency Australia National Executive Committee, Council of Mayors (SEQ) as proxy for the Mayor,

Cr Amelia Lorentson was appointed to the Local Disaster Recovery Committee (deputy chair), Capital Works Executive (chair), Teewah Cooloola Working Group, Noosa Botanic Gardens Masterplan Stakeholders Reference Group and as council representative to the Council of Mayors (SEQ) Waste Working Group.

Cr Jess Phillips was appointed to the Case Management Working Group, Climate Change Response Plan Community Reference Group (chair), NoosaDrivePathway Project Reference Group, Noosa Botanic Gardens Masterplan Stakeholders Reference Group (chair) and the Noosa World Surfing Reserve Committee.

Cr Nicola Wilson was appointed to the Capital Works Executive, Climate Change Response Plan Steering Group, Climate Change Response Plan Community Reference Group, Management Committee for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Sunshine Coast University (SCU), Audit and Risk Committee and the Housing Stakeholder Reference Group,

Cr Tom Wegener was appointed to the Case Management Working Group, Noosa Biosphere Trails Reference Group, Climate Change Response Plan Steering Group, Audit and Risk Committee and as Council’s Representative on the Noosa Biosphere Reserve Foundation Board.

Cr Karen Finzel was appointed Regional Arts Development Fund Committee (RADF) (chair), Noosa Heritage Reference Group (chair), Noosa Biosphere Trails Reference Group, Housing Stakeholder Reference Group, Noosa Botanic Gardens Masterplan Stakeholders Reference Group and to the Northern SEQ Regional Roads and Transport Group.
