Chef Sophie Phipps prepares to open restaurant at 30-acre Alsahwa Estate

A new Mediterranean-inspired, farm-to-plate restaurant will open its doors on a 30-acre Sunshine Coast estate from Friday 27 June.

Alsahwa Estate is a regenerative agritourism destination led by hatted local chef Sophie Phipps (formerly of Spice Bar), whose thoughtful menu celebrates fresh, seasonal ingredients, many grown onsite in Alsahwa’s spray free produce gardens or sourced from nearby producers.

Visitors are invited to slow down, savour the moment, and reconnect with what truly matters.

Sophie said she believes the experience is worth the 40 minute drive from Noosa to Alsahwa Estate at 20 Rifle Range Road, Palmwoods.

“I think there’s been a bit of a gap in the market for this kind of offering which is all-inclusive,” she said.

“You can have a picnic, an elevated restaurant experience, see the bee-hives, or have a wedding here.

“We’ve got the local produce, and we just needed a venue to supply that, so come and support us so we can then support our community.”

Set among landscaped gardens, palm trees, and wildflowers, the restaurant overlooks the Estate dams and offers an ever-changing sensory experience, from morning light drifting over the water to golden-hour long lunches and intimate evening gatherings under the stars.

“The restaurant is a reflection of our values — to tread lightly on the earth, support our community, and nourish our guests with food grown in healthy soil,” Sophie said.

“We’re cooking with intention, with produce that speaks for itself.”

Alsahwa Estate founder Jo Walker said, “We’ll be continuing to follow our ‘Mind. Body. Planet.’ philosophy, and look forward to sharing our Wellness in Nature and Estate Exchange events, as well as community Conscious movie nights over the coming months.”

“We’re excited for the Sunshine Coast to discover Alsahwa Estate at Palmwoods and see it bloom in this Botanic garden-like location.”
