Saturday is Caturday

Join NOOSA RSPCA and Channel 9’s production of FOR THE LOVE OF PETS this Saturday 26 August as they help find cats and kittens their ‘fur-ever’ homes.

Currently filming the second series of the heartwarming animal care docuseries at RSPCA Qld, cameras will roll at the family fun ‘Caturday’ event hosted by RSPCA Noosa from 10am – 2pm.

With the hopes to encourage cat and kitten adoptions, the event will include face painting, free BBQ, RSPCA Cupcake Day sales and give the public the opportunity to be a part of the exciting series.

The 92.7 MIX Street Team will also be on the ground hosting craft activities and giveaways.

Sunshine Coast Council’s Response Services Education Officer and author Hannah Maloney will be in attendance at the event with kitty mascot, Sasha.

Working with the local community to encourage responsible pet ownership and create a safe and harmonious coexistence between people, pets and places, Hannah’s team visit kindergartens, primary schools, puppy pre-schools and events across the Coast, teaching people about their role as a pet owner to ensure happy fur-ever friends.

FOR THE LOVE OF PETS follows a cast of passionate and colourful characters at RSPCA Qld and QVS/Pet Emergency who devote their lives to the animals in their care, from vets performing life changing surgeries to the re-homing team working tirelessly to care for and re-home thousands of animals each year.

Situated southwest of Brisbane, RSPCA’s sprawling ‘Wacol’ campus is one of the most significant animal welfare facilities in the southern hemisphere.

Housing an Adoption Centre, 24/7 Hospital for domestic and wildlife animals and a 24-hour call centre co-ordinating animal rescues, Wacol is the nerve centre for operations across Queensland, giving FOR THE LOVE OF PETS audiences an unparalleled, behind the scenes peek into the organisation’s incredible work caring for over 45,000 animals each year.

FOR THE LOVE OF PETS Season 2 will be coming soon to the 9Network.
