Man’s body found near Sunshine Coast boat ramp

Sunshine Coast police investigating the death of a man at Twin Waters on Thursday are appealing for information as they try and establish the man’s movements.

Police were called to bushland near the Twin Waters boat ramp, Nojoor Road at around 5.40pm on Thursday 22 September after the body of the 49-year-old had been located by bushwalkers.

There were no obvious signs of injury and a post mortem will be conducted to assist with determining a cause of death.

As part of the police investigation officers would like to speak to anyone who visited the location on Thursday afternoon between 8am and 5.40pm.

Police would also like to speak to anyone who saw the man or his vehicle, a 2012 silver Hyundai Accent, parked in the boat ramp carpark on Nojoor Road.

The Sunshine Coast man is described as having a fair complexion, approximately 170cms with a proportionate build and brown hair. He was wearing black clothing including a black rain jacket.

Anyone with information, or relevant home CCTV or dash cam footage, is urged to contact police.
