Gee when is the rain going to stop?
Once again another weekend of horrendous footy conditions at Rococo oval with sheets of water and eventually mud making the ground look like scenes from the ’80s when, as avid footballers, you just played in anything.
Mind you, the third-placed Noosa Tigers are not complaining after producing a fantastic 13 goal win at the expense of Brisbane side, Mt Gravatt.
The Tigers continued their courageous endeavours at the footy and, to be honest, had 22 contributors across the board.
Big Michael Bussey was outstanding, playing and marking like a dry day with his good mate and sidekick Tommy Rourke also loving the suburban Melbourne-type conditions to be two of the Tigers’ best players.
Skipper Aaron Laskey again, and as normal revelled, in the slow going, racking up plenty of touches with his strong presence around the footy.
Aaron Wilson also shone and always will with the footy work ethic he displays. His move to key defence has been fantastic.
And another big man Connor McDonald again showed his resilience and endurance competing the entire day as he always does.
A great win by the senior men, in fact, a great day for all our senior grades who all won at Rococo oval.

Great also to see our Under 27 women have their first win of the season on a brutally rain-affected track on Sunday. Great stuff.
On a sadder note, sorry to hear the passing of Noosa Tiger life member and legendary time keeper Tommy McCafferty last week.
The McCafferty family has been synomous with the Tigers for over 40 years. He will be sadly missed, with all at the Tigers sending their best wishes to family and friends.
The oval is obviously closed to all junior and senior training this week to let it recover.
This week’s presidents’ luncheon with comedian Anthony Lamonde is going ahead, so get your spots booked ASAP.
Keep an eye for that is happening at the Tigers via our Facebook and social media platforms and good luck to all those representing Noosa this weekend.
Go Tigers
Cheers
