One person died and another was seriously injured after a four-wheel-drive rollover on Fraser Island Sunday morning.
Preliminary investigations indicate the vehicle was travelling along 75 Mile Beach at low tide when it lost control and rolled around 1.5 kilometres north of Eli Creek around 7am.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A rear passenger in the vehicle also suffered significant injuries and was airlifted from the island for further medical treatment.
Two additional passengers were treated on scene. The four occupants of the vehicle are all international tourists.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
