Sunshine Butterflies launch new employment Initiative

Sunshine Butterflies Disability Support Service and Charity have partnered with local company John Madill Toyota to launch their newest Supported Employment initiative.

Sunshine Butterflies is a local disability support service and charity situated in the Noosa countryside. The local charity’s mission is to reduce the stigma of disability in the community and provide families and individuals with the tools and resources to live a happy and fulfilled life.

Sunshine Butterflies new Supported Employment Initiative offers opportunities for individuals living with disability to work in the local community, develop small business skills and gain independence and confidence in the workforce.

Members in Supported Employment work in gardening, maintenance, and lawn care and now in the charity’s newest endeavour, Indoor Plant Hire.

“We were excited to partner with John Madill Toyota to launch our Indoor Plant Hire this week. John Madill Toyota are celebrating National Tree Day at the end of July with a school planting event at Noosaville State School. To bring attention to this event, we proudly partnered with them to showcase our beautiful Indoor Plants within their showroom and reception area.” Said Damien Walsh, Horticulturist

Our Supported Employment Members joined Horticulturist Damien Walsh and Sunshine Butterflies Staff Members, to transport and set up the plants at John Madill Toyota.

“The team at John Madill Toyota loved the atmosphere these new plants created in their space. Our members in Supported Employment will be tending to these plants over the next month.” Said Damien.

When you head into John Madill this July you will see the beautiful plants on display thanks to Sunshine Butterflies Indoor Plant Hire.
