The Sunshine Coast-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew joined a multi-agency search last Thursday afternoon north of Moreton Island, to help locate an overturned vessel.
The aeromedical chopper was tasked to assist at around 3pm.
The rescue crew lowered ropes down to help the three boaties back onto the vessel, before guiding Queensland Water Police to their location.
They were taken to shore by Queensland Water Police for further treatment.
