Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit appeals for public assistance

The Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) are appealing for public assistance.

The Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) are appealing for public assistance following a serious two-vehicle crash in the Sunshine Coast on 24 June.

Preliminary information indicates around 5.30pm, a green Moto Guzzi motorcycle and a black Toyota Corolla travelling southbound on the Sunshine Motorway had collided near the Mooloolaba off-ramp.

The motorcycle rider, a 68-year-old Mooloolah Valley man, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Corolla, a 21-year-old Maroochydore woman, was not physically injured.

Investigators are appealing for any witnesses or any one with dashcam vision from the area to come forward.

FCU investigations are continuing.
