A young man from the Sunshine Coast has died following a tragic two-vehicle traffic crash at Wurtulla this morning.
Preliminary information indicates a ute was travelling along Nicklin Way when it collided with a sedan near Moondara Drive around 6am.
The driver of the sedan, a 23-year-old Buddina man, suffered significant injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital, however passed away upon arrival.
The 41-year-old driver of the ute sustained minor injuries and was also taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
The Nicklin Way has now reopened to traffic.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
