Hardworking volunteers help out hospice

Boomerang Bags Noosa (BBN), a volunteer organisation who use donated or ‘rescued’ fabrics to make reusable bags, recently donated funds to Katie Rose Cottage Hospice (KRCH), a local hospice that provides end of life care.

Chairman of the KRCH Carol Raye said, “These funds will be used to install a much-needed new telephone system.

“Boomerang Bags have also been making customised bags for the Katy Rose op shops for a couple of years now.”

BBN leader Sandra Acheson said, “We are very proud to host this worthwhile organisation and have them as part of our creative community.”

The Boomerang Bag team holds twice weekly sewing bees at Wallace House and sells their bags through the Wallace House shop and through many local outlets including markets and newsagencies.
