Fitness icon Tony Doherty to visit The Reset Sanctuary

Tony Doherty is an icon of the Australian fitness industry who has mentored numerous professional athletes and run major body building events with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

He was also one of the faces standing up to the pandemic restrictions facing gyms in Victoria during Covid.

After relocating from Bendigo in regional Victoria to Melbourne in 1994 with a truckload of broken gym equipment and $250,000 in debt, Tony has gone on to become a key advocate for the fitness industry while building a chain of Doherty’s Gyms across the country.

Tony will be on the Sunshine Coast on Friday 3 May where he will team up for a speaking engagement with his former protege and founder of the soon to open The Reset Sanctuary Corey McKernan.

Corey said Tony’s influence helped shape his life as well as his football career which saw him win two grand finals and was voted AFL’s MVP in 1996.

“I’m so excited to be able to bring Tony to the Coast so he can talk about his illustrious journey in the fitness industry and also let him see what we are creating at The Reset Sanctuary,” Corey said.

“We have limited tickets for the general public to attend and I have no doubt that everyone will benefit from someone who is a mentor to elite athletes, he’s also an incredible speaker and a straight shooter who has lived and breathed the grind for decades.

“Guests will be able to hear first hand the raw truth behind what it really takes to build health, wealth, and resilience from the inside out. These are lessons that apply whether you’re chasing performance, peace or purpose and I don’t know anyone who delivers messages like this as well as Tony Doherty.”

The event will be held on Saturday 3 May from 5pm at The Reset Sanctuary 90 Aerodrome Road Maroochydore. Tickets are just $50 per person and includes drinks and nibbles.
