Katie Rose gathers support

Much-loved local Noosa charity Katie Rose Cottage Hospice has launched tickets to their annual fundraiser Noosa Gather and Graze on the Green.

Head of Fundraising and Partnerships Leigh McCready said, “Katie Rose Cottage Hospice is a community operated palliative care facility, right here in Noosa. It is unique in Australia, as we are primarily funded by the community and provide home away from home care for just three guests at a time.”

“Noosa Gather and Graze on the Green is held in the fields at Noosa Dolphins Rugby Union Club and has the purpose of raising awareness about the work we do while connecting with friends in a relaxed and casual environment.”

Guests dress in white and come with their friends to enjoy a picnic under a marquee surrounded by tall, old-growth trees, listen and dance to music from hugely popular local three-piece band RAW ORDIO and order gourmet hampers to be ready at their tables when they arrive.

Hampers are being supplied by local small business The Noosa Forager and Adriano Zumbo Test patisserie, and will be chilled and ready when guests arrive, along with any pre-ordered drinks.

“Sunshine and Sons have generously donated a drink on arrival for every guest and will also provide a bar on the day and online auctions will keep everyone entertained,” Ms McCready said.

“Attendees can also buy tickets in our scooter raffle, with the scooter kindly sponsored by Scooter Style available to see on display at The Doonan, which shares it’s Beddington Road address with the hospice.

“Last year was a huge success with more than 100 guests celebrating friendship, connection and a great local cause, and this year we are very grateful to have Noosa Acres come on board as our sponsor of the event.

“Tickets to Gather and Graze are available through our website at aus.givergy.com/GatherandGraze or our Facebook page for only $105 or $100 on a table. It’s going to be a beautiful day for a wonderful, local cause.”
