Book Week at Good Shepherd Lutheran College was a wonderful celebration of all things books, reading, creativity, storytelling and imagination.
The week was filled with many magical moments of quiet reading opportunities, storytelling pyjama parties and author visits.
A huge scavenger hunt had students scrambling the school grounds on the hunt for the elusive clues for Where’s Wally?.
The grand finale, the annual Book Week parade saw a large crowd gather on the junior oval to view the spectacular array of stories portrayed through small children and their dreams.
Book Week is a lovely opportunity to go back to the simple love of reading, of travelling the world, of riding magical creatures, of having superpowers and best of all, saving the world.
It’s very obvious that at Good Shepherd Lutheran College reading and books are still very much alive.
