Students shave for a cure

Noosa District State High School Year 12 student leaders coordinated this year’s World’s Greatest Shave fundraising event held in the school hall last week.

Two brave students opted to have all their hair shaved off to raise awareness and money for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Local hairdresser and former NDSHS student Heidi Painter volunteered her services for the shave.

“Was a pleasure helping out. Those kids were great doing what they did today,” Ms Painter said.

Students and teachers donated money to support and watch participants have their heads shaved or hair coloured.

All money raised during this event will be sent to the Leukaemia Foundation.
